Hi, I’m Laurie - a coastal artist based in sunny Fort Lauderdale, Florida. My work is inspired by soft ocean light, breezy blue palettes, seaside nostalgia, and the calming beauty of coastal living. After leaving my career in corporate fashion design eight years ago to pursue art full time, I’ve built a joyful and deeply personal practice rooted in painting what feels serene, uplifting, and timeless.

Every brushstroke is an invitation to slow down, breathe deeper, and bring a little coastal calm into your home.

My Artistic Style

I paint with a soft, soothing palette of ocean blues, whites, sandy neutrals, and warm light. My work blends refined coastal design with dreamlike serenity...perfect for airy, sun-filled interiors and Serena & Lily-inspired spaces.

From Fashion to Fine Art

I spent years working as a senior designer in the fashion industry before taking a leap into full-time art. I bring that same love of color, texture, composition, and detail into every painting I create.

What started as a home studio practice has grown into a thriving art business, and now - my dream studio and gallery in the Thrive Art District of Fort Lauderdale.

The Studio

In 2025, I opened the Laurie Duncan Art Studio & Gallery - a light-filled coastal workspace where I paint, host clients, and showcase a rotating selection of originals and prints.

Visitors are welcome by appointment or during Art Walk on the last Saturday of each month.
